for June lawn services and $8464.69 for Tamarac Lighting Special
Assessment District Short fall. There are still 6 active liens
OLD BUSINESS - Park updates
o Arrowhead Park is complete with the exception of the top soil and
replanting of grass. We are seeking some more quotes for this as
the quote that we had was requoted and the price had a
significant increase. All grills and picnic tables are installed and
noted that they are being used.
o Chippewa and Fox Lane parks are on the agenda, but current
budget is limited until 2026. The current condition of the
equipment at Chippewa Park is not safe and is a liability. Removal
is the only option to ensure that no injuries are incurred. DeWaine
Harley and Mike Deaton are going to spearhead this project in the
very near future. This will also include cutting back some of the
trees and branches. We will look at how to replace this
equipment at another meeting.
o Iroquois Boulevard entrance is complete. - Virtual Meetings are now being held. Tonight was the first night and we
had 3 community members join via Microsoft Teams. Mike Deaton is
heading this up and is using Microsoft Teams. New links will be posted
on the FB page prior to meetings. **Advisable to download the App
ahead of time. - CCRs/Bylaws—Del Eastes made a motion to allot up to $3000.00s in
attorney fees to discuss our options and to implement the updated
areas of the CCRs that a committee worked on for the last several years.
DeWaine Harleye seconded the motion. Del Eastes is going to contact
some local lawyers and see what fees etc are. - Current Liens have been reduced from 19 to 6 via small claims court.
The association has collected $11,000 in back payments and another
$3000 is being collected via installment payments. There is another
$2,700 plus yet to go to small claims.
NEW BUSINESS - Discussed moving garage sale to a dicerent date based on remarks from
residents that felt not as many sales, other neighborhoods feeding oc
our same date resulting in less sales etc. Discussion resulted in leaving
it the same for 2026 and see if that is still an option. - Speed limits being adhered to is still an issue. Discussion of removable
speed bumps—can’t install permanent ones due to winter plowing.
Discussion with the sheric’s dept on help in controlling is ongoing.
Adding more speed limit signs was also recommended. - Golf carts being driven by minors was discussed. There is no legal
recourse that the HOA can take. We just ask that parents be
responsible for following the legal driving age. This is for the safety of
not only your children but also for the residents of the Tamarac
community. - Next meeting is Oct. 14th.
Meeting adjourned at 8:10 PM
