TAMARAC HOA MEETING
Oct. 13th, 2026
Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM by Lee Kamp
4 board members were present along with 5 association members.
- Meeting minutes from July14, 2026 were read and approved.
- Treasure’s report was read and approved. Expenses included $2860 to Seven Blades Lawn and Limb for September/early October mowing and $370.99 for bench replacement in Arrowhead park.
- There are still 3 active liens.
OLD BUSINESS
- Park updates
- All park updates are now complete—noted that some more mulch is needed at Arrowhead park in the swing set area. This is routine maintenance and will be an ongoing type of upkeep of parks.
- CCRs/Bylaws—Are still on hold.
- 2026 dues were due on the 15th of March. Still a few out there that are past due. Last notice will be sent in Nov. and payments not received by 12/31/2026 will be sent to small claims court.
- Removable speed bumps were deemed to be not feasible due to upkeep and safety concerns.
- Welcome basket was presented by Shay Chittick. She had donations from Applebees, bought a small candle and put a small bag of snacks in the bag and presented it to the board. For small cost per bag ($3.00 was all she spent) this is a great gesture from the HOA to welcome new residents. A budget of $25.00 was approved for this—which should last a while as we don’t have that many new residents on a yearly basis. A few others were also going to approach local businesses to see if they would like to contribute a token of some sort from their business.
- No update was available for lawyer contacts for advice on administration of our bylaws as Greg Lahman was unable to attend this meeting. DeWaine Harley is also going to see what can be done. Increased the allowable to $5500.
- How to get more involvement from members was a topic of discussion. Any input is welcome. This continues to be topic of discussion.
NEW BUSINESS
- Opening on the board—Shay Chittick has volunteered to become a board member.
- Tree issues on Puma/Navajo were discussed and closed. This is an issue between residents.
- Pet waste stations around the HOA were discussed. It can be an expensive outside service and to try an maintain on our own is not feasible. People need to be responsible for their pets waste on property that is not theirs.
- Halloween trick or treat will be on Oct. 31 and we will follow the same time frame the city follows—5PM until 7PM
- Linda Wetherbee volunteered to take pictures of some of the homes that are decorated for Christmas and post them on the Three Rivers area information page—lots of people are looking for neighborhoods to go see in December and Tamarac folks due an awesome job.
- Meeting dates for 2027 will be on the following dates
- Jan 12, 2027
- April 13, 2027
- July 13, 2027
- 12, 2027
