TAMARAC HOA MEETING
April 14, 2026
Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM by Lee Kamp
4 board members were present along with 3 association members.
- Meeting minutes from Jan 13, 2025 were read and approved.
- Treasure’s report was read and approved. Expenses included $1707.00 to Hackenberg-Schreiber for General Liability Insurance Policy and $20 to TR Chamber of Commerce for meeting room rental.
- There are still 3 active liens.
OLD BUSINESS
- Park updates
- Arrowhead Park will be completed this spring/summer. New topsoil and grass planted.
- Chippewa Park is an in-process project. Did not receive any input from assoc. members in regards to what they would like to see in that park so we are moving forward on this and will paint the spring mounted riders, add a picnic table and replace current mulch with rubber mulch. Will also clean up around the grill that is in that area. If you see DeWaine Haley—give big thanks to him and his son for doing the work in that area.
- Fox Lane Park—is on hold as of now.
- CCRs/Bylaws—Are still on hold. Need to put some finalization to what the team worked on but need some legal input that is reasonable. Couple suggestions were brought up and may be considered at a future date.
- 2026 dues were due on the 15th of March. There are still appox. $11,000 outstanding for this year. All dues that are not paid will be turned into small claims court on June 1, 2026. This gives any parties of unpaid dues another 6 weeks to get them paid. We don’t want to get back into the amount of unpaid dues that had been hanging out there for multiple years ($20,000.00)
- There is still some necessary tree maintenance required on Iroquois that will be complete by end of May. Will investigate replanting something in that area.
- Graduation banners (3 X 5) —were priced at $105 each. Voted on and approved to order 4—one for each entrance. Linda Wetherbee will be ordering. No names or year will be on banner so we can use for multiple years.
- How to get more involvement from members was a topic of discussion. Any input is welcome.
NEW BUSINESS
- GARAGE SALE IS MAY 16, 2026. 3RD SATURDAY IN MAY—EVER YEAR!!
- Physical mailing of minutes is a very impractical process. Multiple ways to read the minutes are available—web page (Tamaractr.org) posted in the window boxes a the corner of Moccasin/Tamarac lane and also at the corner of Iroquois/Tamarac lane.
- Digital business account to pay dues was discussed but has a pricey set up and equipment purchase. This is a one time of year payment and there are multiple means by all residents to pay them—check/money order/bank bill pay etc. Just not a practical expense.
- Dog park—a few residents have asked about fencing in an area for a dog park. Although this sounds like a simple request its not that simple. Expenses of fencing and the need to add more liability insurance. We would need to depend on the users to keep it clean (we now we have issues with some dog walkers now not taking care of their dog their dogs waste on a daily basis). Voted in favor of not doing a dog park.
- Approved the lining of the ball field for a 1 day family affair.
- Approved to change names on the bank accounts—adding Lee Kamp and removing several others that are no longer on the board.
- Opening on the board—Ryan Nowicki resigned as of April 2, 2026. Anyone interested in this should contact Lee Kamp.
- Golf Cart season is upon on. Just a reminder that you must be a licensed driver–this is for everyone’s safety
- Next meeting is on July 14, 2026 at 7:00 PM.
Meeting adjourned at 7:35 PM
