TAMARAC HOA MEETING
July 14th, 2026
Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM by Lee Kamp
4 board members were present along with 4 association members.
- Meeting minutes from April 14, 2026 were read and approved.
- Treasure’s report was read and approved. Expenses included $2535 to Seven Blades Lawn and Limb for June mowing and $20 to TR Chamber of Commerce for meeting room rental.
- There are still 3 active liens.
OLD BUSINESS
- Park updates
- Arrowhead Park is completed. There is pine tree that is back by the cage that has split and is being taken care of—quote of$2500/$4000 was approved.
- Chippewa Park is an in-process project. Picnic stables and bench should be here with a week or so and DeWaine is inprocess of painting spring toys at that playground.
- Fox Lane Park—is on hold as of now.
- CCRs/Bylaws—Are still on hold. See new business notes
- 2026 dues were due on the 15th of March. People that were 2 years behind were submitted to Small Claims court. 9 of the 12 that were behind have submitted payment. See additional comments in new business about past due for just the 2026 dues
- Tree issues on Iroquois have been taken care of but also noted that this would be an on-going issue due to the age of the trees. Will continue to take care of as needed.
- Graduation banners were a big hit and seemed to be appreciated—lots of positive feedback on FB.
- How to get more involvement from members was a topic of discussion. Any input is welcome. This continues to be topic of discussion. See comments in new business for suggestions,
NEW BUSINESS
- Opening on the board—Greg Lahman has volunteered to become a board member.
- Brought up a suggestion of some type of welcome basket for new residents. Shay Chittick and Mary Grunert will work together to see what we can come up with and present at the Oct. meeting.
- 2026 dues were due on March 15th. Currently there are 20 residents that have not paid these. A 2nd notice will be sent out with an extended due date of September 1st. This will be the last notice until small claims are filed.
- Golf Cart season is upon on. Just a reminder that you must be a licensed driver–this is for everyone’s safety. Concerns about underage drivers not having control, driving to fast etc were voiced. A suggestion was brought up that golf carts should be registered within the subdivision. The concern is valid and as responsible adults—parents lay the ground work for following the law. We recommended anyone with concerns should contact the sheriffs department and file complaints as this is not something the board controls—it’s the LAW. Along with Golf cart safety was a discussion of re addressing portable speed bumps as a method of keeping speeders. DeWaine and Greg are looking into cost.
- CCRs/Bylaws—The number of campers within the subdivision was again brought up and the enforcement of the current bylaws (not just campers) not being addressed. This is an on-going issue and again will need lawyer involvement to review current and give some direction on how to revamp and enforce. It was again noted that the board members are an upaid members and not the police—we are volunteers to keep Tamarac a place people want to live.
- Greg Lahman is going to reach out to several lawyers to seek out estimate of $$ it would cost for them to review and advise. Trying to see what can be done at right around the $3000 range.
